We've got you covered...Empower yourself and learn how to trust in your body. A class for expectant couples to learn about pregnancy and how to enjoy it to its full, discover all your birthing options and how to achieve a positive and fulfilling birth experience. We will cover topics such as understanding the different stages of labour, gentle caesareans, drawing up a birth plan, breastfeeding, skin to skin and so much more. We delve into the psychology of becoming a parent and how to cope in the first few weeks. This workshop will ALSO teach you everything about Newborn Baby Care, give you tips and tricks, as well as providing lots of fun for all the couples who attend. This part of the workshop focuses on equipping you with all the parenting skills needed to look after a newborn baby. A fun and practical workshop to fully prepare you for what lies ahead.Postpartum Doula SupportProfessional post birth support services for new parents navigating life with a newborn. Continuous care is given in the form of informational, emotional and physical support once baby is born. Your Doula will be your information on tap, your biggest cheer leader, practical adviser and with you every step. Postnatal home visits can be booked once you are home from the hospital. Your Doula will provide you with breastfeeding advice, basic baby care, understanding baby's "language" as well as their cues and clues. A postpartum Doula is fully equipped to handle most if not all new born troubleshooting problems. #LockDownDoulas These postpartum visits are now being offered virtually due to the current global situation.Mama & Baba Massage ClassesEspecially for tiny babies from 0-3 months old… A special time for Moms to bond with their babies and learn the full body International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) strokes. Massage is proven to aid with digestion, cramps, constipation, wind, sleep, circulation, body awareness, muscle tone, proprioception, brain development, emotional intelligence and the list goes on and on… Classes are 1 hour 30 minutes long including tea and coffee, and are held on selected week day mornings.Mama & Baba Enrichment ClassesMama & Baba Classes are divided into 3 age groups:2 – 6 months 6 – 12 monthsClasses are 1 hr 30 min long and include 10 - 15 min free play or reading time upon arrival, a 35 min music and movement-based lesson on the mat, using various props and equipment to entice and entertain your little one. We include tummy time, soft play, obstacles and stations set up with different activities. Then either: ​15 min messy & texture play (6 – 12 months) OR15 min Art & Craft OR15 min mat work with the Montessori Practical Life Activities12 – 18 monthsAn introduction-to-playschool type class with all the intellectual stimulation and music, except there is no emotional trauma or adjustment for toddlers as mama stays with him / herSing-along music and movement to encourage baby’s participationPuppets who teach musical notation and rhythmCircle time activities on the matAn informal play-based introduction to colours, shapes, counting, phonetics, sorting, matching, weather, days of the week etc.Montessori practical life activities, e.g. manners, art and preschool skills, life skills, kitchen skills, care of self and care of the environment.Story time Outdoor playtime, art & craft and exploration of the natural world around us. Social opportunities to make friends, exhibit manners, parallel play, share and learn acceptable social behavior.
